CKDJ 107.9 Ottawa is campus radio of Algonquin College, works under the ownership of Algonquin College based in Ottawa. In 1972, the channel started as Closed circuit radio station. On 29 September, College got the permission from CRTC to start a campus radio at Nepean with the frequency of 96.9 MHz having an ERP of 8 watts. On 3 October 1994, CKDJ 96.9 was signed on the air. In 1998, Rogers Broadcasting gave a transmitter to CKDJ. In March 2003, its frequency was transferred to 107.0 MHz following the approval of CRTC, and it was a new dial. The channel broadcasts a vast variety of programs and shows and thus became latest radio channel with the promotion of unsigned and underground artists and interviews.
